Amorim "fears it will be like last season" after losing to '10' Everton in 1st anniversary match

Manchester United manager Huvain Amorim lamented that his team had not reached the level they wanted after the defeat against Everton. 

Manchester United played the 12th round of the 2025-2026 English Premier League at Old Trafford in Manchester, the U.K., on Saturday, and lost to Everton 1-2. With the win, Manchester United lost to Everton following consecutive draws at Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, falling to a winless three games. It was also the first loss at home to Everton since 2013.

"I'm afraid I'll go back to the way I felt last season. That's my biggest concern. The players are trying, but we have to get better." 

It is all the more regrettable because the match was the first anniversary of the coach's appointment. Since taking office last season, coach Amorim failed to rebound and ended his first year in 15th place in the league. This season, he won the Coach of the Month award by winning three games during the past October, but anxiety grew as he continued his winless streak again in November.
